James Ryan grabbed a treble for Caergybi in a 5-1 triumph at Llannerchymedd

Last season’s goal machine James Ryan opened his account for this campaign with a hat-trick in Caergybi’s 5-1 victory at Llannerchymedd in the Cartrefi Cymunedol Gwynedd League.

Ryan, who found the net 72 times last season for the Holyhead side, got up and running for 2019-20 with a fine treble, Nathan Lewis and Ian Williams adding singles, while Dafydd Roberts put away Medd’s sole reply.

Champions Menai Bridge Tigers maintained their flying start with an impressive 4-0 success at Bro Goronwy.

Aaron Rowlands’ side were in command from the off at Cae Nerys, Kevin Roberts and Jordan Pritchard on target in the first half before Kelvin Frazer and Callum Davidson with an absolute screamer completed the rout in the second period.

Player-manager Carl Jones was the main man with a treble for Nefyn United in their 4-0 away thrashing of Llanystumdwy. Tomos Llewelyn Jones also struck for the Penwaig.

Bontnewydd versus Waunfawr finished up 3-3.

Alun Gwilym (2) and Steven Tindall brought up the home tally, Ioan Gwynedd and Nathan Price (2) ensuring the Beganifs took a point.
