Although I covered the story of Davies and Johnston signing for 1876 last month, I had not as yet included them in this series of transfers!
Veteran of almost 450 Welsh Premier League appearances and 128 goals, Les first made waves as a powerful 18-year-old striker for Cymru Alliance club Glantraeth during their Welsh Cup run of 2003-04, which included a shock elimination of Bangor City.
The Citizens soon snapped him up, and he spent two seasons at Farrar Road before switching to fellow WPL club Porthmadog for the next two campaigns.
Nev Powell brought Davies back to Bangor in 2007-08 and the striker, nicknamed “The Truck”, was with the club for the next eight seasons, winning numerous honours including a Welsh Premier League title and three Welsh Cups before signing for Connah’s Quay Nomads in August 2015.
Davies joined Bala Town in June 2017 before returning for a third spell to Bangor, now a Cymru Alliance club, last season under Craig Harrison.
In January 2019, Llandudno became his sixth Welsh Premier club. He left Maesdu Park this summer and agreed to join former boss Powell at Aberystwyth Town, but had a change of mind and committed to Bangor 1876.
A Wales Under-17 and U-19 international, Johnston was a Tranmere Rovers reserve who joined Bangor City on loan in September 2007.
After being voted 2007-08 Player of the Season for the Welsh Cup winners, he was released from Prenton Park in April 2008 and signed a two-year deal to remain at Bangor.
Johnno went on to spend eight seasons with the Citizens, establishing himself as one of the best defenders in the Welsh Premier, winning three Welsh Cup winners’ medals and a WPL title along the way.
He made 235 top-flight appearances for the club before signing for Llandudno in 2015-16.
Later spells at Caernarfon Town and Brickfield Rangers followed before Johnston landed back at Bangor City under Gary Taylor-Fletcher in February 2019.
Midfielder Leon Jones will bring some quality to the Riverside in the season ahead.
Leon offers vast experience of the Welsh National League Premier Division, having had spells with FC Nomads and Saltney Town. He is a strong versatile player with a great football brain.
Sam will bring quality, goals and hard work to the Gwynedd village club and is expected to improve the team going forward massively.
He is seen as a massive signing for Llanuwchllyn and also has a point to prove after a disappointing season with Corwen last time out.
A change of mind sees striker Clarke rejoin the club he last graced two seasons ago, when his goals helped Arriva win the Elias Cup and Benllech Car Boot Trophy.
Last season saw Andy notch 31 goals for a Glantraeth side which lifted the Gwynedd League Safeflue Shield.
He joined Bethesda earlier this summer, but has now decided to move on to Arriva, who have more Anglesey League silverware in their sights this season.
Andy has scored goals consistently wherever he has played in his career.
Big, strong centre forward who will cause any defence in the league trouble. Also has a great eye for goal.
Formerly with The New Saints, Cefn Druids and Penycae, Davies is an attacking full-back who loves to get forward. Was at Chirk last season, but now returns to the Riverside.
Talented youngster Parry returns to the Vale.
Cai has plenty of pace and is very comfortable on the ball; he is seen as another addition that will strengthen the squad substantially.
Injuries have affected him over the past couple of years, but he is looking fitter than ever this pre-season.
Forward-minded player who will bolster Caerwys’ attacking options in the campaign to come.
Formerly with Holywell, where he mainly featured for the reserves, Edge has already shown some net-finding ability for his new club in pre-season.
The Llanfairfechan-based 18-year old progressed through the ranks of the Llandudno FC Academy before becoming an integral part of the Chester FC Youth set-up over the past two seasons.
Last term, Dion captained Chester FC Youth to victory in the National League Alliance League Cup. Dion then returned to Llandudno FC over the summer before deciding to make the switch to Bangor 1876.
Davies has missed 18 months of football due to shoulder surgery but has come into pre-season looking fitter and sharper than ever.
Comfortable in central defence or central midfield, Cynan is a strong, dynamic midfielder who is comfortable on the ball.
He also is a leader on the field and will no doubt step up to the mark when needed.
Midfielder Cunliffe returns to Buckley having started last season with the club before moving elsewhere.
Former clubs include Hawarden Rangers and FC Nomads of Connah’s Quay.
A Pwllheli player last season, midfield maestro Mahoney is a young talent whose performances defy his years.
He can play in a number of roles in midfield, also being able to operate in more advanced positions in the forward line.
His quality on the ball is clear to see; he is a big strong player who also has an eye for goal.
Having had other offers Tom felt that Nantlle Vale was the right fit for him.
Signed for Denbigh Town last season, having returned from a year in New Zealand where he played for Melville United.
Pat started with Denbigh Juniors as a 12-year-old before moving to Ruthin Juniors, where he progressed through to the senior side and had played there for three and a half years before leaving for Kiwi land.
As a youngster he also had a trial period at Oldham Athletic Academy and represented Wales U16s. Whilst a student at Llandrillo, he played for Welsh Colleges in a tournament in Italy.
A strong player able to play both in defence and midfield, he is very comfortable on the ball and in the air.
Brickie boss Gareth Rhys Roberts has signed dynamic midfielder Mamadie Sheriff for the 2019/20 season.
Mamadie joins from the Liverpool-based Robbie Fowler Academy, with which Rangers enjoy a flourishing relationship.
One of three signings to land at Buckley Town this summer to date, Spridgeon played for Oswestry Town last season and impressed in front of goal.
A strong and pacey defender who will slot straight into the centre-back position.
Gethin has demonstrated some solid performances in training and still only 19, the Tigers look forward to seeing him develop this year.
Evans joins North East Wales League club Caerwys from Ruthin Town having previously played for Llandyrnog United Reserves and Trefnant. Village, Chris is a versatile full-back who can play either side of the central defenders.
Having been out of the game for a few seasons, Dan is eager to get back into the swing of things and the Tigers are excited to have him on board. Can play anywhere in the back-line and will give Ogwen some experience in that area.
Proven goalscorer with the likes of Halkyn United and Flint Mountain, where he won the North East Wales League title and three other trophies last season.
Will prove a tremendous asset to the Caerwys front-line.
