Slowly but surely, female players are beginning to really make their mark on the men’s game in North Wales cricket.
This season Llandudno Lions made a groundbreaking move in appointing Wales international Hannah Thornton as second team captain.
Meanwhile, at Bangor CC, a young bowler named Bethan Hughes is really hitting the heights for the second team, taking 29 wickets so far in 2019 and establishing herself in the league’s 10 top achievers with the ball.
Bethan, 18, took part in a Q and A with Grassroots North Wales this week.
