After more than four fantastic seasons at Holyhead Hotspur, one of the club’s most consistent players has decided to call it a day.
Midfield ace Jack Walsh is leaving the Cymru North club due to work commitments.
Following spells with CPD Pentraeth, Bangor City and Conwy Borough, the 24-year-old signed for Hotspur at the start of 2022-23.
He went on to make 144 appearances for the club, playing a key role in the 2024-25 promotion-winning campaign, where Holyhead finished second in Ardal North West and went back up to the Cymru North via a play-off.
Walsh played in 62 Cymru North matches for Hotspur, his final outing being as a late substitute in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Penrhyncoch.
A Hotspur statement said: “Jack has been a fantastic part of our club, and we want to say a huge thank you for everything he has given us during his time here. His commitment, hard work and the memories made along the way will certainly not be forgotten.
“Jack, you’ll always have friends here, and our door will always be open to you. We wish you every success and happiness for the future, and hope to see you around the club whenever you can.
“Thank you for everything Jack 💙”
