Cup joy for Bangor City 1876 and Llandudno – Bowe scores on debut, teenager Carey bags hat-trick

Katie Bowe rounded off a fine Bangor victory with the decisive third away goal two minutes from time at Lon Bach.
Former Caernarfon Town and Llandudno star Bowe, who recently joined the Citizens, came on as a second half substitute and unusually scored with her right foot from outside the box.
Credit to Tier 3 Amlwch for putting up a great show against Adran North visitors and favourites Bangor, who have won their opening three games of the season – all away from home.
Cerys Parry fired the visitors ahead in the sixth minute with a sweet half-volley from inside the box, but Amlwch had no intention of lying down.
On 13 minutes the hosts were level when despite a tremendous initial save from City keeper Catrin Roberts, Elin Murley could not be prevented from netting the rebound.
City went 2-1 up on 20 minutes via a great individual goal from Holly Owen-Roberts.
Picking the ball up as an attacking midfielder, Owen-Roberts dropped her shoulder in the middle of the park, sent the oppostion the wrong way and drilled hard and low from 20 yards leaving the keeper no hope.
And 2-1 it remained until the magical Bowe scored on her debut for the Citizens.
Bangor interim-manager Chris O’Neal employed a major squad rotation with five changes from the team which won 2-1 at Llangefni in the last round seven days earlier and making five substututions within the first 10 minutes of the second half.

Seventeen-year-old star Anna Carey had a night to remember as she scored a hat-trick and provided three assists in a thumping Llandudno victory.
After beginning the season with two painful defeats, Tudno were more successful against a young Towyn side currently campaigning in their debut term in Tier 3.
Fleur Custance, Carey and Amelia Mercer all netted in the first half to give the Seasiders a comfortable lead.
After the break, Carey struck two more, Custance notched her second and captain Erin Doran also found the net.
