It was a special occasion for two Pwllheli players who both found the net twice in Sunday’s 4-0 NEWFA Challenge Cup win over Amlwch Town at The Rec.
Katie Bowe, a regular markswoman over numerous seasons, bagged her latest double, while defender Sian Moore notched her first goals for the club.
Bowe is in her fourth season with the Llŷn Peninsula side and has now scored 13 times in 34 appearances going back to 2021-22.
Prior to joining Pwll, she was a prolific net-finder for the likes of Caernarfon Town, Llandudno and Mountain Rangers.
Bowe broke the deadlock on Sunday deep in first half added time when she received the ball on the right side of the box, pulled it back and curled a beauty into the top corner.
Moore doubled the lead on 58 minutes. Lois Thomas dribbled into the box from the left, delivered across the six-yard box and Moore tapped in.
It was 3-0 on 66 minutes when Thomas squared the ball in the penalty area to Bowe, who lashed into the top corner for her brace.
Bowe was not finished as on 89 minutes her shot was kept out by keeper Ceri Pritchard, but Moore pounced on the loose ball and curled in from the right-edge of the six-yard box.
