Ardal North West: Eight-goal Trearddur return to summit, Pwllheli hit seven, Llangefni dish out six of the best

Five second-half goals helped Trearddur Bay to a thumping 8-1 victory at home against CPD Y Felinheli
Sebastian Samuel opened the scoring in the 12th minute, getting in front of the defender to powerfully head home an Osian Hughes cross.
Felinheli levelled on 28 minutes, with Iwan Owen slotting home from a Guto Ellis pass, despite Trearddur’s protests that he had strayed offside.
Bay regained the lead just three minutes later when another Hughes cross found its way to an unmarked Liam Morris at the far post, who made no mistake.
It was 3-1 five minutes later as Callum Parry expertly volleyed into the top corner on the turn for his first of the afternoon. He nearly claimed his second in added time at the end of the first half, but his left-footed strike cannoned off the base of the Felinheli post and away to safety.
That was how it stood at half-time, with Bay taking a two-goal advantage into the break.
It took until the 57th minute for the next goal, as a defence-splitting ball from Jay Gibbs found Parry, who calmly finished to make it 4-1.
From there, it was all one-way traffic, with Trearddur asserting their authority on the game. It wasn’t long before Parry had completed his hat-trick, bundling home a Hughes cross in the 63rd minute to make it 5-1.
Osian Hughes then grabbed two goals in four minutes. The first came from the penalty spot after Parry’s shot was deflected away from goal by Jonathan Sadler’s arm, with Hughes making no mistake from 12 yards.
Just four minutes later, Hughes had his second. Good work between Parry and substitute Ashley Ainsworth down the right created the opportunity, with Ainsworth’s cross being met by Hughes, who headed home to make it 7-1.
Ainsworth completed the scoring eight minutes from time with his first goal for the club and Bay’s eighth of the afternoon. Parry’s shot evading the despairing dive of Marc Wyn Jones in the Felinheli goal, leaving Ainsworth with the easiest of tap-ins to round off a comprehensive victory.

Broughton United 0 CPD Pwllheli 7

Pwllheli won 7-0 on their travels for the second time this season, the first being an away thrashing of Carno in the Welsh Cup.
The first half at Broughton was the Sion Roberts show, the forward notching a hat-trick before the break.
After the interval, Gethin Thomas (2), Josua Jones and Jack Jones made it a magnificent seven for the Llyn side.

Connah’s Quay Town 3 Llanrwst United 2

Quay made it two successive home league wins at the expense of a Llanrwst outfit which suffered its first loss of the season.
Harvey Andrews and Edward Brown (penalty) put the hosts two-up at the turnaround.
A second for Andrews looked to have left Town home and dry, but Math Hughes pulled one back for the Rwsters and Jack Clague made it 3-2 two minutes into added time, but the points went to the Deesiders.

Mynydd Isa 2 Llangefni Town 6

After trailing 2-0 at the 20-minute mark, Llangefni came roaring back to win 6-2 courtesy of hat-tricks from Harry Hughes and Ifan Mansoor.
It looked good for Isa after Sam Edwards and Nathan Mendoza netted on 17 and 19 minutes respectively, but Hughes halved the deficit after 21 and Cefni then went goal crazy in the second half, scoring five in the last 20 minutes.

Penmaenmawr Phoenix 2 Llay Welfare 0

Two goals inside the first eight minutes from Daniel Williams and Toby Jones were enough to seal Phoenix a third league win in succession.
The result lifted Pen into third place.
