OSIAN DAVIES (from Ruthin Town)

Denbigh Town have signed long-serving Ruthin Town midfielder Osian Davies.
The 31-year-old joins Denbigh following 12 years with Ruthin, returning to Central Park for the first time since departing as a teenager.
Denbigh manager Dewi Llion said: “Really pleased to have Osian on board with us.
“He’s brings significant experience to a really young team and will be an asset for us on and off the pitch, he’s someone we’re really happy to have.
“He’s played hundreds of games at this level, captained Ruthin for more than five years and lifted silverware, and now he comes to us looking sharp following his injury last season.”
Davies came through the junior ranks at Ruthin before spending three years with Denbigh from 2011 to 2014. He was a regular for the Reserves whilst also making squads with the firsts
In the summer of 2014 he joined Ruthin Town, remaining there for more than a decade. He made more than 200 appearances for the side, winning promotion to the Cymru North in 2016 and picking up two North East Wales FA Challenge Cup winners’ medals, the latter in 2022 as captain.
He now returns to Denbigh ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

FFRANC VAUGHAN EVANS (from Crewe Alexandra)

Eighteen-year-old striker lands at Central Park after spending four years with EFL League Two side Crewe Alexandra.
“I’m pleased to sign for the club and look forward to the season ahead,” said Vaughan-Evans.
“It’s been a tough pre-season training with the lads and the standard has been really high; now it’s time to get more minutes in senior football and have a positive effect on the team.
“I’m looking forward to playing in front of a good crowd at Central Park and performing to our potential”.
Denbigh manager Dewi Llion: “Ffranc comes from four good years at Crewe where he’s grown as a player, and now comes to us ready to play senior football.
“He’s a big lad for his age, which at 18 there’s loads of scope to improve as a player who had already shown his quality this summer.
“I’m looking forward to working with him and seeing what he can do at Central Park”.
Vaughan-Evans arrives at the club following a four-year stint with Crewe Alexandra, who he joined as a 14-year old. He played in his home country in the academy with Bala Town along with junior football at Chirk, before being spotted in a friendly against the side he’d go on to join.
He progressed through the ranks at the Mornflake Stadium, earning a two year scholarship with the Railwaymen in June 2024. He spent the next two years representing the side’s U18 squad in the Premier League’s U18 Professional Development League, helping his side to a 3rd place finish in the Northern Section last season.
Following his departure from the South Cheshire outfit, he signs for Denbigh Town ahead of the 2026/27 JD Cymru North campaign.

TOM SMITH (from Gresford Athletic)

Arriving at Denbigh Town from fellow Cymru North club Gresford Athletic is Tom Smith.
The 22-year-old said: “I’m really excited to join Denbigh and can’t wait for the season ahead.
“It’s a club that’s been on the up over the past five years and somewhere that once I knew of the interest I jumped at the chance.
“With the squad we have, the coaching staff and the infrastructure that’s been put in place, it’s all here for us to be successful”.
Manager Dewi Llion added “Tom’s a really good midfielder who has continued to progress year on year.
“He was exceptional at both tier three level and the Cymru North, and fits the profile of the players we’re looking to bring in”.
Smith began his senior career with Rhos Aelwyd after time in the academy at Cefn Druids. He scored twice on his senior debut in the JD Welsh Cup, in a 2-0 success against Cefn Mawr Rangers in July 2021. He totalled 71 games for the Aelwyd, scoring 26 times, before making the move to Cefn Albion in February 2024.
With the Albion he hit a hot streak, scoring six goals in 16 games in the Lock Stock Ardal North East, before adding a further six in the first half of the 2024/25 campaign. His form earned him a move to the Cymru North with Gresford Athletic in January 2025.
With the Colliers he established himself in the side over an 18-month spell, grabbing five goals in the Cymru North last season. He also earned a call-up to the Regions Cup squad, representing North Wales in May.

TOM KELLY (from Albion SC Colorado)

Denbigh Town are delighted to announce the signing of forward Tom Kelly following his departure from Albion SC Colorado in the USL.
The 23-year-old arrives at Central Park following a four-year spell in the United States, where he featured in the NCAA Division Two and USL.
Kelly said: “Denbigh is a club with great ambition, and after speaking with management, it felt like the right place for me.
“I’ve been fortunate to play in a number of different environments throughout my career, both in the UK and the United States, and I’m looking forward to bringing that experience to the squad. I’m hungry to get on the pitch, help the team however I can and hopefully make a positive contribution this season.”
Town manager Dewi Llion: “Tom comes to us with a really different background over the past few years, but has still played at a really good level.
“He’s had a strong foundation in football with Everton and Stockport before testing himself in the United States, playing at a really good college level.
“We’re delighted to welcome him and look forward to seeing what he can do in the JD Cymru North”.
Kelly spent a decade during his youth in the academy at Everton, where he also picked up international honours, representing Cymru at the Victory Shield in 2017. He went on to sign a full-time scholarship with Stockport County at 16 where he featured regularly for the Hatters in the Under-18 squad.
After his departure from Edgeley Park, Kelly spent a season with Glossop North End before he opted to head Stateside, enrolling at Concord University in West Virginia. He made 33 appearances and scored 10 goals in his Freshman and Sophomore years, ending his second season as his side’s top scorer and earned Academic All-MEC honours in his first two seasons.
Kelly went on to have a spell with East Atlanta in the USL2, the development league for the USL, one below the MLS, before in 2024, Kelly transferred to Catawba College in North Carolina. He made 10 appearances and scored twice for the Indians in the NCAA Division Two South Eastern Conference. He earned further honours when he was named on the SAC Honour Roll.
He ended his collegiate journey in 2025, scoring four times in 12 games during his Senior year at Frock Field. He briefly returned to make a couple of appearances for Runcorn Town over Christmas 2025, before returning to America to sign for Albion SC Colorado in the USL at the beginning of 2026.
