Flint Town United Ladies have made an exciting addition to their ranks as they prepare for a third season in the Tier 2 Adran North.
Poppy Hâf Smith has landed at the Essity Stadium after three successful years with flourishing Cheshire-based club Nantiwch Town..
The 21-year-old midfielder has also played in North Wales for Airbus, where she spent the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons, scoring on her debut in a 5-0 victory at Welshpool. She made 23 appearances in all for the Wingmakers, scoring two goals.
Flint Town United head coach Becca Eagles is excited about her new addition: “Poppy will definitely bring a real good energy into the group both on and off the pitch,” she said.
“She’s a very quick attack minded individual with an eye for goal. She’s got great experience having previously played for Nantwich which will definitely help our younger players also.”
In her stint at Nantwich, a team only formed in 2020, Poppy was made vice-captain and won back-to-back league titles with the Dabbers.
Last season they won the North West Women’s Regional League Division One South title and have earned promotion to the English Tier 5 North West Women’s Regional League Premier for 2026-27.
However, that successful part of Poppy’s career now makes way for a new challenge in the Adran North with Flint..
