Central Wales North Ladies League: Stapleton at the double in Buckley victory

CENTRAL WALES NORTH LADIES LEAGUE – REPORTS SUNDAY, MAY 10

Buckley Town 3 Llanidloes Town 2

Alexandra Stapleton was on the mark twice as Buckley celebrated their fourth league win of the season at the expense of visitors Llanidloes.
The hosts broke the deadlock in the 18th minute when Amy Davies set up Stapleton to score.
Captain Stapleton turned provider in the 34th minute when her assist enabled Ruby Evans to make it 2-0.
The Daffs were back in the game on 37 minutes when Ebon Lewis found the net.
However, Stapleton struck again in the 42nd minute with her fifth goal of the season to make the interval score 3-1 to the Bucks.
Naomi Evans pulled another back for Llanidloes midway through the second half to set up an interesting last quarter, but the home side held on for the win.
Buckley still have a home match against Coedpoeth United and a return game at Llanidloes to come.

Newtown 5 Coedpoeth United 3

Jade Angela Bowe scored twice and Melissa Sudlow was also on target for Coedpoeth, but the Wrexham side ended up defeated by Newtown at MTJ Dolforgan Park.
Coedy actually took a two-goal lead inside seven minutes, but the Robins hit back to level through Michelle Bastable-Howe and Taylah Bean.
Bowe nudged the visitors back in front with 34 gone, Kim Pugh with the assist, but by the break Newtown were 4-3 in front, Mya Bradley and Bean on the scoresheet.
Just one home goal arrived in the second half, Kasey Scott-Robinson netting for the Powys side in the 55th minute,

Berriew Development 5 Northop Hall 2

Berriew edged into second spot with victory over Northop at the Recreation Ground.
Kacey Roberts and Tyler Price were the Hall markswomen, but Ellie Davies of Berriew took the headlines with a four-goal show, Jessica Lawrence adding a single.
