Champions Llanuwchllyn suffered a rare defeat at the weekend, but they will have been boosted by Wednesday’s news that they have attained a Tier 2 licence and are promoted to the Cymru North for the first time.

After a season of struggle where they went 11 matches without a victory at one stage, third-from-bottom Builth Wells are a team transformed in recent weeks, making it three wins in four at the expense of visitors Llanuwchllyn, who beat them 7-1 at Cae Llan on April 11.

Seth Bridgeman netted twice inside the first seven minutes to give the hosts a flying start and the title-winners were unable to respond unril 76 was on the clock, North Wales top scorer Meilir Williams notching his 52nd goal of 2025-26.

It was just a second loss for Sion Tudor’s table-toppers in 29 league games.

Bow Street 1 Llanrhaeadr 3

Bow Street, who have not applied for promotion, lost their grip on second place after a 3-1 home loss to Llanrhaeadr.

David France, Billy Clarke’s 15th goal this term and sub Joshua Bowen delivered the goals for the visitors, Joshua Taylor replying for Bow, who have suffered back-to-back losses.

On the mark again: Alex Williams

Albion strengthened their hold on sixth place with a good win against Llandrindod at The MUGA.

Alex Williams’ 24th goal this season, a 13th of the campaign for 17-year-old star Thomas Broadhurst and Nathan Williams strike sealed the victory.

Corwen 3 Kerry 1

James Rainbird netted twice late on for Corwen, whose other goal came via Lewis Wills, Luke Mumford responding for Kerry.

The match was scoreless until the 77th minute. Ryan Biggs was red-carded for the visitors in the 90th minute.

Dolgellau Athletic 8 Llangollen Town 1

No stopping Dolgellau in this one as they gained revenge on a Llangollen side which beat them 2-1 at Tower Field back in February.

Captain Gerwyn Williams and Osian Morris both dealt out doubles for Dol, Rob John Kimberley, Aaron Young, Guto Pugh and sub Steven Jones also on the mark, Finlay Palmer with a consolation for the away side.

CPD Rhos Aelwyd 1 Knighton Town 6

Callum Stead was a hat-trick hero for a Knighton side which kept their bid for second place on the boil.

Taylor Wozencraft added a brace and Luke Boundford scored from the spot for his 34th goal of the campaign, Osian Phillips with a late consolation for Rhos, who were reduced to 10 men in the 21st minute with the score at 0-0 when Dyfan Thomas received a red card.
