The battle for the North Wales Coast West League Premier Division title looks to be going right down to the wire.
Three teams are still in contention – Menai Bridge Tigers, Nantlle Vale and CPD Nefyn United. Each team plays 28 matches.
After games played on Wednesday, April 29, this is the state of play:
The advantage appears to slightly lean towards Nefyn, but the line to glory is rarely a straight one.
Menai Bridge Tigers
May 2: Blaenau Ffestiniog Amateurs (away)
May 8: Blaenau Ffestiniog Amateurs (home)
VERDICT: Very tough way to end the season for the current leaders. Blaenau are very strong opponents.
Nantlle Vale
May 7: Llanrug United (away)
Talysarn Celts (a – TBC)
VERDICT: Two away fixtures remaining, both tricky prospects.
Nefyn United
May 2: Cemaes Bay (a)
May 7: CPD Llanystumdwy (a)
May 12: CPD Llanberis (a)
May 30: CPD Mynydd Llandegai (a)
VERDICT; Four games left – all away. A few banana skins to negotiate, if Nefyn finish top at the end they will certainly have earned it
