Mold enjoyed a great start to their 2026 Premier Division T20 campaign

NORTH WALES LEAGUE T20 REPORTS – APRIL 18

Mold 1st XI (4) 113-8 Bangor 1st XI (0) 121-6

Isaac Allen scored a magnificent half century as promoted Mold began the season with a superb victory over the reigning Premier Division and T20 champions.
Put into bat, Bangor posted 121-6 off their 20 overs, Nadeem Rehman 37, Thomas Garratt taking 3-18 and Jon Crane 2-27 for the hosts.
Due to the weather, Mold faced a reduced target of 118 of 18 overs in reply and got there for the loss of eight wickets, Allen hitting five fours and three sixes in his 55, Joe Maltby scooping 2-11, Rehman 2-13 and the returning Francois Mostert 2-18 for the visitors.

Denbigh 1st XI (0) 98-9 Brymbo 1st XI (4) 70-2

Brymbo cruised to an eight-wicket triumph at Ystrad Road.
Inserted by the visitors, Denbigh made 98-9 off 20, Sam Aplin an impressive 4-19 for the Steelmen, Jack Williams 2-15 and James Claybrook 2-18.
Facing a revised target of 64, Brymbo made it to 70-2 off 10.2, Dikshant Viaragi 47 not out.

Hawarden Park 1st XI (0) 74-4 Menai Bridge 1st XI (4) 103-8

Skipper Robbie Jones hit a commanding 44 not out for a victorious Menai Bridge side which was put into bat.
Bridge set 103-8 off 20, Ian Martin 2-16, Tom Wilson 2-20 and Jac Williams 2-25 for the Park, who were limited to 74-4 in reply, Evan Shaw 45.

Northop 1st XI (0) 115-7 Mochdre 1st XI (4) 131-7

Will Evans led the charge with 36 as Mochdre chalked up a formidable winning score of 131-7 off their 20 overs.
Mohamed Nilam Jayman took 3-26 and Bart Ryan-Beswick 2-16 for the hosts, who were kept down to 115-7 in response, Matty Humphreys 3-18 and Adam Campion 2-20 for the visitors.

St Asaph (4) 128-8 Gwersyllt Park 1st XI (0) 113-7

Skipper Will Ryan top-scored with 36 as Saints set 128-8 off 20, Jamie Griffiths taking 3-18 and Cai Pearson 2-25 for Gwersyllt Park, who were restricted to 113-7 in reply, Ethan McCarthy 30, Mathew Ryan 2-17 and Dan Evans 2-22 for the winning hosts.

Denbigh 1st XI (4) 119-7 Gwersyllt Park 1st XI (0) 118-5

Sam Lewis’ 35 proved crucial as Denbigh got home with nine balls to spare.
Gwersyllt Park set 118-5 off 20, Jake James 40 and skipper Jamie Griffiths 32, Shaun Nash 2-16 and Stuart Griffiths 2-24 for the hosts.
In reply, Denbigh made it to 119-7 off 18.3, Lewis well-supported by double-figure efforts from skipper Harrison Jones, Griffiths and Kieran Lucas, Iroshan De Silva 2-25 and Daniel Jones 2-32 for Park.


Hawarden Park 1st XI (0) 101-10 Mochdre 1st XI (4) 123-8

In a reduced 19 overs per side contest, Mochdre’s score of 123-8 proved sufficient for victory, Alex Davies (37) and Joe Chaplin (33) the chief contributors.
Evan Shaw took 2-27 and Jac Williams 2-34 for the hosts, who were bowled out for 101, despite Jacob Duker (38) and Campbell Marr (31) putting on 62 for the first wicket.
Gareth Goodson claimed 2-21 for the winners.

Northop 1st XI (0) 98-7 Menai Bridge 1st XI (4) 101-9

Bridge edged a three-run victory at Flint Road.
Harry Jackson struck 33 in the islanders’ effort of 101-9 off 20, skipper Bart Ryan-Beswick 5-16 and Mohamed Nilam Jayman 3-20 for the hosts.
Sion Morris made 31 as Northop’s response ended agonisingly short on 98-7, Matthew Jones notching a miserly 3-4 and Dion Holden 2-6 for the away side.

St Asaph 1st XI (0) 124-7 Brymbo 1st XI (4) 125-1

Christopher Taylor hit the day’s best score of 69 not out as Brymbo completed two big opening day victories in the T20.
Invited to bat, Saints made 124-7 off 20, skipper Will Ryan 34 and Evan Williams 30, Dan Parry 2-16 and Dikshant Viaragi 2-25 for the Steelmen.
Brymbo raced to 125-1 off 14.4, Taylor, who cracked nine boundaries and three maximums, putting on unbroken 106 with Sam Aplin (35 not out) for the second wicket.
