NORTH WALES COAST EAST LEAGUE – MARCH 7, 2026

DIVISION ONE

Llysfaen 3 Rhuddlan Town 1

Two-goal star Mike Chapman on the ball for Llysfaen

Manager Gaz Sorfleet received the perfect birthday present from his Llysfaen side – three points.
An excellent 3-1 win over fourth-place Rhuddlan lifted the Faen off the bottom of Division One.
Mike Chapman struck twice for the Bananabeau outfit to make it 10 goals in 7 games since the prolific front man joined the club in January.
Sub Ben Franks also found the net for the hosts, sub Macauley Pollitt replying for Rhuddlan.
Birthday boy Sorfleet said: “We approached the game very similar to the Penrhyn Bay game, we were aware of Rhuddlan’s strengths and weaknesses and very quickly adapted to how they wanted to play.
“First half we were superb and should have been out of sight, Alex Tate on the right put in some fantastic crosses and we were unlucky not to get on the end of them.
“Chapman kept up his unbelievable form bagging twice, but that usual feeling of doubt crept in when Rhuddlan capitalised on our only error all day, but huge credit to the lads and the subs that came on, they all played their part and Franks settled the game with a brilliantly taken finish.
“From bottom to top the lads were excellent today and deserve all the praise, we go into next week against Wanderers now aiming to put some distance between us and them.
“The perfect birthday present for myself 🧡🤍 UP THE FAEN”

Llandyrnog United 2 CPD Henllan 1

Third-place Llandyrnog moved level on points with Penrhyn Bay in second after a close-fought 2-1 success over Henllan at Cae Nant.

Luke Appleby doubled the home advantage on 59 minutes with his 21st of the campaign.
Henllan kept battling and rpelied through a 90th minute Harry Payne penalty, but the hosts claimed the spoils.

Prestatyn Wanderers 3 Blue Bridge 4

New signing Adam Cassidy marked his second game in a Blue Bridge shirt with a double in a thrilling victory at Prestatyn Wanderers.
The hosts led twice in the first half through Colin Sargerson and Luke Williams, but Callum Lloyd-Clegg and the ever-dependable Cassidy from the penalty spot made it 2-2 at the interval.
Cian Cummings edged BB in front for the first time on 63 and Cassidy made it 4-2 on 86, a 95th minute penalty from Wanderers’ Jack Gibbon rounding off the scoring.
