CPD Blue Bridge add two quality signings to squad

CPD Blue Bridge have added one of the best local strikers at Tier 5 level to their squad.
Veteran Adam Cassidy recently joined the Rhyl-based club from Prestatyn Wanderers.
And he showed his old team what they are missing when scoring twice in Bridge’s 4-3 weekend win at Wanderers.
Cassidy is a proven goalscorer and has to rank as one of the deadliest penalty-takers in North Wales football.
Clubs he has represented in recent seasons include St Asaph City, Meliden, Rhyl Dragons, Betws-y-Coed, Kinmel Bay, Wanderers and now Bridge. This season he netted 14 goals for Wanderers.
Blue Bridge manager Jordie Baker said: “A great signing for the club is experienced talisman Cass. When we heard he was available it was a target of ours to get him on board. With losing Snowy (Joe Smith) with a broken ankle and having a couple of injuries in forward areas it was a signing we had to get done.”
Cassidy added: “I’m happy to join Blue Bridge, getting a good win yesterday (Saturday, March 7) and also getting on the scoresheet, I’m looking forward to hopefully scoring some more and finishing the season strong.”

Another recent addition to the Blue Bridge ranks is the talented Ebin George, formerly of Rhyl Albion and Rhuddlan Town. He also previously held a physio role at CPD Y Rhyl 1879.
The new man said: “Glad to have signed for Blue Bridge. Got a great bunch of lads and I’m really enjoying my footy. Can see the team has a lot of potential and I’m looking forward to doing my part and helping the team.”
Manager Baker added: “Above all else Ebin is a great lad. When I heard Ebin was available he came to training and instantly could see the talent he brings to our squad. If we can get him firing for the remaining few games he will be a key player for us during pre season and next season.”
