A third straight win for Flint lifted them into second spot in Adran North.
Goals from Beth Roberts and Shannon Hobbs secured the Silkwomen three points, as well as the double this season over bottom side Berriew.
Flint were on the money from the start with plenty of goal scoring opportunities created.
The first goal came on 22 minutes thanks to Beth Roberts working tirelessly and pressing high up the pitch. She was rewarded by blocking the keeper’s kick, which ended up in the back of the net.
Again, the Essity Stadium ladies had a strong full squad available and were able to make a couple of changes at half time, both of which worked really well.
Flint emerged for the second stanza eager to improve the scoreline. The second goal came from Shannon Hobbs, who received the ball from Beth Roberts, put it onto her left foot and looped it over the keeper to score for the fourth successive game.
Credit to Berriew, they made Flint work right until the end, pressing well with some good attacking play and plenty of pace up top.
Flint also produced some really good passing moves at times in a well rounded performance.
Winning captain Ruby McGilloway said: “Very proud of all the girls over the past few weeks. 3 wins from 3 games, which puts us in a good spot going into our next game against Nomads. The next two games will be our biggest challenges yet (Nomads and Llanfair United), but we’re keen to get something out of both of them.
“POTM today was Shona Roberts. Fully deserved. She often goes under the radar but puts in a solid performance at the back every week. So consistent and thoroughly deserves it today.”
