Who is Adam Long, the newest hero of the CPD Dinas Bangor City 1876 supporters?

The 25-year-old made a massive impact on his debut for the Citizens, scoring twice in a 3-1 FAW Amateur Trophy quarter-final victory over Llangefni Town at Bangor City Stadium on Wednesday night.

Recent signing Long was born in the Isle of Man and began his career with local side St Georges before joining Wigan Athletic in 2017-18, the season the Latics won the EFL League One title.

He made his first-team debut during their EFL Trophy tie against Middlesbrough U23s in October 2017.

On 20 February 2020, Long signed for Notts County on an initial one-month loan deal. The 2020-21 campaign saw the defender make 13 first team appearances for Wigan in League One.

In July 2022, Long left Wigan and committed to for newly relegated League Two club Doncaster Rovers for an undisclosed fee, signing a two-year deal.

February 2024 saw him depart Doncaster by mutual consent, and sign for AFC Fylde. He was released at the end of the 2024–25 season.

Long joined Bangor City 1876 in February 2026 after a spell with Northern Ireland club Coleraine of the NIFL Premiership.
