Caernarfon Town are North Wales’ sole representative in FAW Youth Cup semi-finals

Caernarfon Town will be North Wales’ only representative in the semi-finals of the 2025-26 FAW Youth Cup.

The Cofis will meet Barry Town United Development in the last four on Sunday, March 1, at Jenner Park, kick-off 2 pm.

The other semi will feature Cardiff Met and The New Saints, also this Sunday, same start time at Park Hall, Oswestry.

There was a chance that Caernarfon would take on Colwyn Bay in the semis, but the Seagulls were eventually eliminated two rounds ago.

Bay originally knocked out Pontypridd United on penalties in December, but the North Wales side was thrown out of the competition by the FAW after allegedly trangressing over team sheet submission regulations.

Colwyn appealed and were reinstated, but had to play Pontypridd again. This time the Seagulls lost 2-1 in South Wales on February 15.

Pontypridd then met Barry in a revised quarter-final yesterday, which The Linnets won on penalties to set up a semi against Caernarfon.
