GENERO ADRAN NORTH – JANUARY 25, 2026

Flint Town United 1 (Hobbs 11)
CPDM Y Felinheli 1 (Allsup 80)

For the second time this season there was no separating these rivals at the final whistle.

Two weeks ago, they shared a 2-2 draw at Treborth and Sunday’s return at the Essity Stadium ended one-apiece.

This was a great game for the neutral from start to finish, both teams playing some good football in a yet again competitive match.

Flint broke the deadlock on 11 minutes following a good move down the right.

Isabella Devereux played the ball out of defence to Becca Eagles in the middle, she found Ruby Hastings on the right and her fine delivery was whipped home first time by Shannon Hobbs.

Felin rallied, playing good football at times but not able to find the net. Positive runs from Shannon Jones down the left found the visitors in dangerous positions but not quite able to deliver the finish.

The second half was pretty much the same, both teams seeing plenty of the ball and the game was quite open and end to end at times.

Flint had chances to move further ahead, but they were unable to accept them.

Ten minutes from time Felin equalised.

Great work from Elsi Williams in the middle of the park saw her pick up a loose ball and fight off the strong midfield of Flint to find Rubie Davies. She played an excellent pass for Jenna Allsup, who slotted home superbly.

Flint captain Ruby McGilloway said after the game: “We had possession about 80% of the time today, but unfortunately just couldn’t finish the countless chances we had.

“As a collective, we’d all agree that was one of our best performances.”

Felinheli coach Llio Emyr commented: “Reflecting on the game today, we’re quite happy with a point, however we did set out to get more from the match – more chances, more shots on goal and to be a little more clinical.

“A few key players were missing, meaning some players had to play out of position therefore overall we can’t be too disappointed with a point against an organised Flint side.

Still very happy to be unbeaten this side of Christmas and we’ll look to take the positives from the past three games on to Llanfair next week, which will be no doubt one of the biggest challenges of the season so far.”
