CPD Mynydd Llandegai have announced first team manager Huw Davies will be stepping down at the end of this season.
Davies has dedicated more than 20 years to the club, during which he has served as a player, manager and also chairman.
Known as ‘Huw Dulyn’, he first took over as Llandegai first-team boss in March 2017 when Mark Hughes stepped down. Davies remained in charge until 2022, when Iwan ‘Pij’ Morris replaced him, but ‘Dulyn’ later returned to Penrhiw.
Davies led Llandegai to runners-up spot in Welsh Alliance Division Two in 2016-17 and the club was promoted to Tier 3 Division One the following season, finishing 10th.
The club held its own in the Welsh Alliance top flight, but unfortunately were relegated back to Tier 4 when Welsh football was restructured in 2021-22 and their ground did not meet new T3 criteria.
Paying tribute to Davies, a club statement said: “Huw’s contribution to CPD Mynydd Llandegai has been invaluable, and his commitment, leadership, and love for the club have left a lasting mark.
“Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Huw, for everything. We wish you all the best for the future, and you will always be welcome in Mynydd Llandegai! ⚽️💙
“A huge thank you also to Phil Thomas for 25 amazing years of hard work and enthusiasm with the club who is also stepping down at the end of the season. We are grateful that Phil will still be involved with the club, staying on with us as a valued committee member and continuing to support the club with his experience and passion. Thankyou for everything Phil ⚽️💙”
Mae CPD Mynydd Llandegai yn cyhoeddi y bydd Huw Davies, rheolwr ein tîm cyntaf, yn gadael y clwb ar ddiwedd y tymor presennol.
Hoffai’r clwb estyn diolch o galon i Huw am ei ymroddiad anhygoel dros 20 mlynedd o wasanaeth. Yn ystod y cyfnod yma, mae Huw wedi cynrychioli’r clwb mewn sawl rôl bwysig – fel chwaraewr, rheolwr, ac hefyd fel cadeirydd.
Mae ei gyfraniad i CPD Mynydd Llandegai wedi bod yn amhrisiadwy, ac mae ei ymrwymiad, ei arweinyddiaeth a’i gariad at y clwb wedi gadael marc parhaol.

Rydym yn ddiolchgar iawn y bydd Phil yn parhau i fod yn rhan o’r clwb, gan aros gyda ni fel aelod gwerthfawr o’r pwyllgor ac yn parhau i gefnogi’r clwb gyda’i brofiad a’i angerdd. Diolch o galon, Phil ⚽️💙
