Porthmadog manager Chris Jones has praised everyone at the club for the way a difficult weekend incident has been handled.
Saturday’s 3-2 home win against Trearddur Bay was marred by an alleged assault on Porthmadog player Danny Brookwell, who appeared to be elbowed to the face just before a penalty was taken by the hosts in the second half.
Brookwell was later reported to have suffered concussion.
Footage of the incident has been watched by millions on social media.
North Wales Police arrested a 35-year-old man in connection with the incident and have since released him on conditional bail pending further investigation.
Trearddur Bay have apologised to Porthmadog FC and on Sunday revealed Bay player Tom Taylor had been released by the club.
