Many of snooker’s greatest stars will head to Llandudno next month for the BetVictor Welsh Open, with Mark Selby defending the title in a strong field.

Selby won the title for the second time last season, beating Stephen Maguire 9-6 in the final. This time Selby will face China’s Jiang Jun on the afternoon of the opening day, Monday February 23rd. The BetVictor Welsh Open is one of snooker’s most historic tournaments as it has been ever present on the calendar since 1992 – the World Championship and UK Championship are the only ranking events which have been running for longer.
This is the fourth and final event in the 2025/26 BetVictor Series, following tournaments in England, Northern Ireland and Scotland. The leading money winner across the series will bank an extra bonus of £150,000, so the race is on to top the BetVictor Series Rankings. Mark Allen is in pole position but four other players in the field could still beat him to the bonus.
The tournament will be screened live by BBC Wales, TNT Sports, discovery+, CCTV5, WST Play and many other broadcasters across the globe.
