Women’s Recreational League: Valkyries win again, Bay make it 9 from 9, Lionesses triumph

NWCFA RECREATIONAL WOMEN’S LEAGUE REPORTS – JANUARY 12

Llandudno Valkyries 1 Kinmel Bay 0

Back-to-back wins to begin the year for the Valkyries.
In a strong, competitive game. Kinmel Bay applied sustained pressure throughout the match and created numerous shooting opportunities, but were unable to convert their chances.
The decisive moment came in the second third, when Azita Ahari’s effort resulted in an own goal which handed Llandudno the lead.
Despite pushing hard for an equaliser, Kinmel Bay were unable to find the breakthrough their performance deserved.

It’s nine from nine for Colwyn Bay, who extended their lead at the summit to nine points with an emphatic win at second-place Eglwysbach.
Jodie Parry, Samantha O’Carroll and Sian Roberts (2) secured the away win and meant the Queen Bees suffered their first loss of the campaign.

Caitlin Howell-Williams scored the only goal of the match on 55 minutes to seal three points for the Lionesses, Rachel Faragher providing the assist.
