Only two c;ubs instead of the usual three will be relegated from Tier 3 leagues at the end of the current season.
The FAW have confirmed their plans for the third-tier ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Prior to the JD Cymru Premier’s transition to a 16-team league next season, the changes to the FAW pyramid regulations have been confirmed for the current 2025/26 campaign.
Promotion from the third tier is unchanged for 2025/26.
The four champions of each of the Ardal Leagues will earn automatic promotion, before the two runners-up in the Ardal North and South Leagues meet in a play-off.
The only change for one season is that only two clubs will be relegated from each league instead of the current three. This is all subject to clubs meeting Tier 2 licensing requirements.
