CPD Boded have announced three new signings they hope will boost the club’s fortunes in 2026.

All share the surname Hughes.

Attacking player Callum Hughes, midfielder Chris Hughes and versatile youngster Dyfed Hughes have all joined the Green and White Army over the past fortnight.

Currently ninth in the Tier 4 North Wales Coast West League Premier Division, Ynys Môn based Boded have endured a very frustrating end to 2025 with five successive matches called off due to the weather.

The islanders have not kicked a ball since November 8, when they triumphed 5-1 at CPD Llanystumdwy in the Cwpan Snowdonia.

Callum Hughes, 18 started the current season at Boded, netting five goals in five outings before switching to Amlwch Town, where he is yet to score this term in seven games. He had previously struck 15 times for Amlwch in 2024-25. Prior to that, he had developed through the Airbus UK Broughton Academy and youth system.

Boded will no doubt hope he reignites the scoring streak he enjoyed with the Cae Ty Cristion club at the start of the campaign.

Chris Hughes has agreed to join Boded from Cemaes Bay. Hughes is an experienced midfielder who can also play at the back. He is strong, good on the ball and breaks up the opposition attacks very well.

Chris had made 39 appearances for Cemaes since leaving Amlwch Town in 2021-22.

Dyfed Hughes is a young local lad who is strong, fast, comfortable on the ball, has plenty of energy and can play in a variety of positions.

Aged just 16, Dyfed has been a prolific marksman for Penrhos Under-15s in the Gwyrfai Under-15 League and also previously played for Llanfairpwll and Llangefni junior sides.
