The Tier 3 Ardal Northern Leagues are scheduled to start at the end of January in a reduced fixture format.
North Wales clubs are included in both the 16-team Ardal North East and Ardal North West divisions.
At a FAW National League Board meeting this week, all fixture options should the Ardal leagues start were considered.
For the 2020/21 season, the Ardal Northern will adopt the following format:
15-match season
Each side to play each other once
In this format, some teams will have eight home matches and seven away games.
The clubs which received eight home fixtures will be decided by a random draw.
Further information on the draw will follow in due course, as well as the fixture list for the 2020-21 season.
The current proposed re-start date for the league is the end of January, subject to Sport Wales’ approval of the return of Tier 3 following the successful implementation of the Tier 2 proposals.
As per the FAW Pyramid Regulations, promotion and relegation will take place in the 2020-21 season.
The champions of the four divisions will be granted promotion, with the four runners-up challenging for two promotion spots in regional play-offs.
Promotion is subject to clubs meeting the Licensing Criteria.
News is still awaited on when Tiers 4 and 5 men and Tier 2 women can begin their seasons.
