Kinmel Bay finished their 2025 fixtures on a great note as they delivered a dominant home performance in running out 6-1 winners against Henllan, producing an impressive display of attacking football from the opening whistle.

The home side wasted no time in taking the lead, opening the scoring in just the second minute. Scarlett Gregson launched a pinpoint long ball from the back, finding the feet of Lexi Walsh, who showed real composure to slot past the Henllan goalkeeper.

Kinmel Bay doubled their advantage in the 6th minute. Another moment of quality from Gregson saw her deliver an excellent corner into the box, where Elin Jones was perfectly positioned to tap the ball over the line.

The pressure continued and a third goal followed in the 8th minute. Tasha Standing reacted sharply to win the ball from a Henllan goal kick and played a delightful through pass to Walsh, who calmly finished for her second goal of the game.

Henllan pulled a goal back in the 17th minute from a set piece. A well-delivered corner from Ellie Wilkinson found Ella Simcox, who applied a smart finish.

Bay restored their three-goal cushion just before half-time in the 44th minute, with Walsh completing a well-deserved hat-trick. A perfectly weighted through ball from Seren Williams sent the 16-year-old Walsh clear, and she rounded the goalkeeper before tapping home for her 24th goal of the season.

Typical commitment from both sides

The second half began with both teams showing attacking intent, but it was Bay captain Seren Williams who extended the lead in the 51st minute, unleashing a superb “Sez special” from distance that found the back of the net.

The final goal arrived shortly after in the 53rd minute. Walsh turned provider this time, threading a lovely pass through to Jess Nettleton, who struck a thunderous shot to seal the scoring.
