Two Ynys Môn football clubs have announced additions to their management team.
Llangoed have added former Caergybi boss Dale Moffat to their set-up, while Glantraeth, due to return to football in 2026-27, have appointed Gafyn Lloyd Jones as assistant to new chief Graham ‘Squeez’ Jones.
Both fresh faces have plenty of island football experience behind them so are sure to be assets to their new clubs.
Moffat is well-known for his long association with CPD Caergybi, which formed in 2017-18 but folded before the current season due to a lack of players.
The Holyhead-based club lifted the Megan Cup in 2017-18, the Lucas Oil Cup and Dargie Cup in 2018-19 and the Menai Tractors Division One Cup in 2024-25, as well as achieving two league runners-up titles and reaching the last season;s NWCFA Junior Challenge Cup final for the first time.
Moffat was a central figure in the club’s seven seasons and hopes to get it back up and running in the future. In the meantime, he joins Vinny Walker and Dewi Williams on the management team at Tyddyn Paun.
Meanwhile, Graham Jones has been busy since he took on his role as Glantraeth manager this week.
Getting his management team up and running is a first priority. and Squeez wasted no time in recruiting Gafyn Lloyd Jones as assistant manager for the 2026-27 campaign
Gafyn has a long association with North Wales football as both player and coach, his former clubs including Llanfairpwll, Gwalchmai, Glantraeth, Bodorgan and Caernarfon Wanderers.
A midfielder, in his playing days he won caps for Wales Schoolboys, also turned out for Bodedern and Bethesda Athletic and represented Ynys Môn in the Island Games.
