ARDAL NORTH WEST LEAGUE – DECEMBER 3, 2025

Prestatyn Town 1 (Henry 90+2)
CPD Y Felinheli 5 (R Cain 57, Hughes 71, Davis 75, 77 & 84 pen)

Eighteen-year-old star Byron Davis scored a nine-minute hat-trick to clinch next-to-bottom Felinheli, a win no-one would have seen coming on Wednesday night.

In fact, nobody would have foreseen this scoreline at half time either with the sides failing to produce a goal between them in the opening 45.

Prestatyn, third in the table, had won their first seven league matches this season at home before having their 100 percent record at Bastion Gardens smashed on November 26 by Bethesda Athletic.

Town bounced back with a 5-0 success at Pwllheli on Saturday, but four days later they were left stunned as a Felin outfit without a league win since August turned them over.

In a goalless first half, the hosts hit the post twice via Sam Henry and Alex Jones.

It remained 0-0 until the deadlock was broken in the 57th minute.

A moment to forget for keeper Adam Reid

Ryan Cain struck a free kick from halfway which home keeper Adam Reid was unable to keep out.

Rather than look to defend their shock lead, Felinheli went all guns blazing and turned goal crazy from the 70th minute onwards.

Sub Caio Hughes made it 2-0 with a smart chip from the edge of the six-yard box.

Then it was time for top-scorer Davis to take centre stage.

First, captain Aled Griffith won the ball with a fine tackle near halfway and then advanced forward before finding Davis, who applied the finish.

In the 77th minute, Iwan Edwards fed a neat pass to Davis, who placed his shot bottom left from the edge of the box.

Davis then won a penalty after being fouled in the box and the teenage hitman converted from the spot bottom right for his 18th goal of the season – 18-year-old and 18 goals!

Shellshocked Prestatyn did manage to bag a late consolation through Henry, but this was a night Town will quickly want to forget. while for Felinheli it was an occasion they will remember for a long time..
