Holyhead Hotspur have signed a golden prospect for the 2026-27 season.
Byron Davis, 18, moves from Ardal North West club Y Felinheli to join the Cymru North outfit from Holy Island.
Hotspur have a good reputation for signing top-quality goalscorers and getting the best out of them.
Last season, they brought in Connor Owen, then aged 20, from Tier 4 Gwalchmai and he went on to score 17 goals in 28 Cymru North appearances, as well as winning Young Player of the Season for the T2 league.
Davis has the potential to deliver the same effect. Last term, his first in senior football, he bagged 28 goals in 34 appearances and 20 in league games for a Felinheli side which struggled in the lower reaches of Ardal North West for the most part.
The teenager grabbed hat-tricks in thumping league wins over St Asaph City and Prestatyn Town, as well as hitting three against Lex XI in the Welsh Cup. He is confident, pacy and deadly from the penalty spot.
Hotspur said of their new signing on social media: “The move to Hotspur now provides the next step in his development, with the club committed to giving ambitious local players the platform to test themselves at a higher level.
“Everyone at Hotspur are delighted to have Byron on board and we can’t wait for him to get going in JD Cymru North “
