Still unbeaten with an 11-point lead at the summit after 11 wins and a draw, the Hotspur express stays on track for title glory.
Sunday’s latest victory at the expense of Bontnewydd came courtesy of a Kane Astles double, plus single goals from Steve Driedyk, Dan Doyle and Sean Pritchard, Ryan Allsup with the solitary away reply.
Hotspur manager Scott Hakesley runs us through the game.
Today (Sunday) we welcomed Bontnewydd to the New Stadium.
Earlier in the season they matched us man for man for the first 45 minutes and that was the case today in the first half.
The formation we played first half was a lot to ask of two of our young lads on the wing with Bontnewydd’s two front men finding pockets of space and causing us problems.
However, todays MOTM Noel Owen found Steve Driedyk to head home and 10 minutes later Noel picked out Dan Doyle to rise highest and make it 2-0 in the 27th minute
Ryan Allsup got one back to take us into the break 2-1.
Some chosen words at half time on positional play seemed to spark us into life as the second half was by far better and what we’ve become used to from this young group.
Knowing what was needed with 10 minutes gone, a change of shape and introduction of top goal scorer Kane Astles, who found the net twice, and young Sean Pritchard, who also got on the scoresheet having worked hard all game, guided us to victory.
We then decided to introduce Lucas Garmey for his senior debut making him the youngest to play for a Holyhead Hotspur senior side being 16 years and 16 days old. He did not look out of place and we look forward to watching his game grow.
Today#s result takes us to

We’ve had a great start to senior football but as a squad we understand the second half of the season is much harder. We look forward to welcoming back suspended Jordan Rowlands and Cameron James Buckley and Ryan Woodruff from injury.
