Happy 21st birthday to one of North Wales’ most talented young sportswomen
Born on November 27, 2004, Cassie Ogilvy excels particularly at netball, but is also a footballer and endurance runner.
Hailing from Pwllheli, she is the younger sister of former Bangor City footballer Ben Ogilvy, who represented the club in the Welsh Premier League and European competition. He is also an ex-manager of CPD Pwllheli,
A former pupil of Ysgol Glan-y-Mor, Pwllheli, Cassie is best known for her achievements on the netball court.
A Goal Attack (GA) or Goal Shooter (GS), she has played for the North Wales Talent Centre and North West County and in 2022 was the youngest player in the North Wales Fury squad, going on to become a regular in the elite team.
Cassie has also represented the Colegau Cymru netball team, and was the winner of the Robin Llŷr Evans Memorial Shield at the Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor awards ceremony in 2022.
A member of Clwb Pêlrwyd Pwllheli, she plays regularly in the Gwynedd a Môn League.
She also wears the colours of Walis Bryn Goch team in the North West League on a Monday night.
Super-fit Cassie is also a marathon runner, having competed in the challenging She Ultra event this year.
And she finds time for football!
Last season, Cassie was part of the CPD Pwllheli side which won the North East Wales League West Division title, was crowned overall North Wales Tier 3 champions and lifted the Betty Pickering Cup..
