There’s a new man in the manager’s seat at Gresford Athletic.
He is Dave Evans, former boss of FC Queen’s Park and Ruthin Town, where he departed from earlier this month.
The Colliers’ new first team chief brings a wealth of experience and a strong understanding of the Cymru North.
A Gresford club statement said: “We are excited to see the direction the squad will take under his leadership as we push forward for the remainder of the season.”
Joining Evans’ management team are assistant Gaz Lloyd, plus coaches Tryfan Prosser and Azzy Davies.
Gresford are bouncing back after the sudden departures of former manager Eddie Maurice-Jones and backroom staff, as well as key club officials earlier this month.
The club has since reported on a positive meeting where a brighter future was predicted.
Gresford reached the last 16 of the Welsh Cup on Saturday with a 3-0 win at Penrhiwceiber Rangers. They will discover their next opponents in tomorrow’s fourth round draw.
Athletic are currently one off the bottom of the Tier 2 Cymru North.
New manager Evans saved Ruthin from relegation on the final day of the 2024-25 season.
