North East Wales League: Seven-goal haul for prolific Harry Massey

Harry Massey hit seven goals for Overton Recreational

NORTH EAST WALES FOOTBALL LEAGUE ROUND-UP – NOVEMBER 22, 2025

Words: Shaun Best

Star of the day must go to Overton Recreational’s Harry Massey for his seven goal haul in a 15-0 victory over Deeside Dragons in the NEWFA Trophy.

Massey is now up to 26 goals for the season from just 12 appearances. The 25-year-old has netted 150 senior career goals in 125 appearances since the start of 2019-20.

The top four all won big in the NEWFA Trophy, while it’s also getting interesting for the sides in the middle of the pack.

Broughton United extended their lead at the top of Division One with a 3-1 success at Ruabon, but FC Queen’s Park now share joint second with beaten opponents Hawarden Rangers.

Goals and red cards galore between Connah’s Quay Town and Saltney Town’s second string. The hosts went top with today’s victory.

FC Queen’s Park Reserves missed the chance to go top of Division Two when they were held at Penyffordd.
