Eight straight victories and four clean sheets in a row for table-topping Llangefni

LLANDUDNO KIA NORTH WALES COAST WOMEN’S LEAGUE – SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 9

Llangefni Town 4 Denbigh Town 0
Leaders Llangefni made it six straight wins in the league and eight victories on the bounce in all competitions at the expense of visitors Denbigh on Sunday.
In difficult conditions, the visitors battled hard and gave Cefni a good contest, but the on-fire Ynys Môn team would not be denied a fourth clean sheet in a row.

The hosts could not have made a better start, taking a first-minute lead when Lowri Thomas found the net following a Marissa George assist.
There was a special moment in the 38th minute when Llinos Hughes scored her first goal for Llangefni since the club’s debut 2022-23 season.

The islanders came up against some stubborn Denbigh defence in the second half, but eventually bagged a third goal when Ellie Coulson netted via an assist from sub Elin Roberts.
The day would not have been complete without an Amber Brown goal and Town’s top scorer made it four late on. It was her 11th goal in eight games and she has only failed to score once in Llangefni’s winning streak.
