Six-goal Walsh guides Kinmel Bay to a thumping victory

LLANDUDNO KIA NORTH WALES COAST WOMEN’S LEAGUE – NOVEMBER 9, 2025
Trearddur Bay 0
Kinmel Bay 8 (Seren Williams 22, Walsh 35, 49, 51, 57, 63, 85, Standing 53)
The phenomenal Lexi Walsh rocketed to the top of the North Wales Coast League scorers chart with a six-goal salvo for Kinmel Bay in an 8-0 away supershow on Sunday.
Sixteen-year-old Walsh made it 18 goals in eight matches this season, 15 of those coming in league fixtures.
Today’s double-hat-trick was her best return yet in a single game for Bay’s senior side, for whom she has bagged 33 goals in total over just 16 appearances since February 2025.
After a tough defeat at home to Llangefni seven days earlier – their first league loss of the 2025-26 season – Kinmel Bay stormed back in sensational fashion at Lon Isallt, producing a dominant eight-goal success on Anglesey.

From the first whistle, the visitors looked sharp, hungry and determined to make a statement – and did exactly that.
The breakthrough came in the 22nd minute, courtesy of skipper Seren Williams, who fired home a super Sez Special from a free kick. Trearddur Bay keeper Katie Bolton managed to get her fingertips to it, but the strike had too much power, nestling into the top corner.
Thirteen minutes later, Kinmel doubled their lead. Defender Connie Sheridan picked out a pinpoint long ball that fell perfectly to Walsh, who showed ice-cool composure to slot low past the keeper and make 2-0 at the break.
The second half saw Kinmel Bay step up another gear. Just four minutes after the restart. Walsh picked up the ball in midfield, surged past two defenders, and unleashed a thunderous drive to grab her second of the afternoon.
Barely two minutes later, Elin Jones threaded a perfectly timed through ball for Walsh, who struck first time to complete her hat-trick in the 51st minute.
The pressure didn’t stop there — a trademark Tasha Standing corner found the back of the net in the 53rd minute, making it five as the floodgates opened.
The relentless Walsh wasn’t finished. In the 57th minute, a long pass from Millie Sergent found her feet; a quick 360 spin and a rocket of a shot later and it was 6-0. She added her fifth of the game shortly after, calmly finishing from a clever Jess Nettleton assist.
With just five minutes left on the clock, Walsh struck again — this time from the right wing — to seal her double hat-trick, capping off a phenomenal personal performance and a statement win for Kinmel Bay.
It was a complete team performance — disciplined at the back, creative in midfield, and devastating up front. After last week’s setback, Kinmel Bay Ladies proved their resilience in emphatic style.
