Tom Douglas was a hat-trick star as Rhostyllen netted seven goals for the second week running.
Douglas made it 10 goals in his last seven appearances for Simon Sedgwick’s side, whose only loss in their latest seven outings was a narrow 3-2 reverse at Cymru North giants Holywell Town in the Welsh Cup.
Rhostyllen’s success today took them through to the quarter-finals of the prestigious Horace Wynne Cup.
The visitors were 5-1 up by half time and never lost their grip on the tie.
Douglas struck on 3, 44 (penalty) and 90+2, Adam Williams added a double after 24 and 37, while Cameron Thomas and Sam Chesters delivered singles on 21 and 84 minutes respectively.
Ryan Lancelotte notched Chirk’s only first-half goal, while Tom Freeman, Louie Irving and Oliver Roberts made the scoresheet after the break. The Colliers did reduce the deficit to 5-3 at one stage.

Acton 6 

The A teams shared nine goals with Acton coming out on top.
Liam Davies netted on 22 and 31 (pen), Niall Challoner also delivered a double on 72 and 83, while Ethan Callaghan scored on 51 and Alix Godfrey 59.
Aston led twice in the first half via Mason Lowery (1 min) and Andy Cook (29), but despite being level at 2-2 come the break, they could only add one further goal in the second stanza through Dougles McDonagh on the hour., as Acton came into their own.

Penyffordd Lions 1

Penalties were needed at Casty where Penyffordd ran out winners.
It was 1-1 after just eight minutes, the goals coming courtesy of the Nathans – Davies for Colts and Large for Lions.
Josh Jones produced the crucial save in the shootout.

Greenfield 5
Hawarden Rangers 1

Really good showing from Greenfield whose nap-hand came via Dean Hyland (9 mins), Kieron Day (12), Darren Jones (21), Dylan Roberts (45+2) and Stephen Lee (90+1).
Thomas Bridges replied for Rangers on 51.

CPD Sychdyn United 5
CPD Caerwys 1

Shay Davies (29 and 90 mins), Joe Mitchell (71 and 83) and Josh Williams (20) split the goals for dominant Sychdyn, Caerwys goal machine Ryan Carrington responding for the Division 3 visitors with 63 on the clock.

Overton Recreation 2
Brymbo 1

Drama at Overton where Alan Huxley turned the tables with goals on 81 and 88 minutes for the hosts after Bradley Dobson had edged Brymbo into the lead on 72.

Coedpoeth United 7
Johnstown YFC 0

Hat-trick hero Curtis Griffiths led the way for Coedpoeth with goals on 21, 45+3 and 59 minutes.
Tomos Williams also made the scoreboard after 70 and 80, while Oliver Lewis netted on 67 and Iwan Bennett after 83.
The Division 1 side were just two-up at the interval.
Coedy coach Aaron Camplin sent off after 81 for dissent and the same fate befell Johnstown manager Michael Bailey with 78 gone.
