Three sisters have all reached 50 appearances for their club.
Daisy Hughes became the third family member to make it to a half century for Flint Town United when she came on as a substitute for sister Chloe in Sunday’s Genero Adran Trophy clash at Llangefni Town.
Youngest Hughes sister Rosie, 20, has made a record 61 appearances for the Silkwomen, scoring 39 goals, left-back Chloe, 27, has played in 57 games and left-winger Daisy, 21, is now on the 50 milestone. Chloe was the first sister to clock up the half-ton.
Daisy scored twice in Flint’s first-ever match, a 3-0 win over Llanfairfechan Town on September 18, 2022.
The honour of netting the Silkies’ first goal went to Leah Phelps, but Daisy instantly made her mark as the first Flint player to score more than once in a match.
Perhaps her finest achievement of that season was scoring two in a 3-2 victory at NFA, who finished fourth but ended up promoted.
Daisy has netted 14 times for her team, six in 2022-23 and eight in 2023-24.
She missed the start of 2024-25 through injury and has battled to command a regular starting place since, but remains a vital member of the squad, giving them a left-sided attacking option.
