Meet the mighty Menai Mavericks

Division One reports – September 24 – WEEK 3

Tim o Walis are the early Division One pacesetters after an impressive 31-18 victory over Arfon Ladies made it three straight wins for the table-toppers.

Elen Edwards stood out for Walis, while Ally McCarthy was excellent for Arfon.

Dreigiau Dyffryn made it two victories on the bounce by defeating Genod Walis 30-14.

Ffion Jones was both Player of the Match and Umpires PoM for the winners, Mared Brychan same or the opposition.

Champions Menai Mavericks romped to a 54-17 triumph against Bethesda, Gwenno Pritchard excelling for the Anglesey side, Hollie Jones for the Ogwen girls.

Dolgellau were 36-25 winners, despite a strong second-half fightback from Pwllheli Panthers.

Division Two reports – September 23, 2025

Holyhead Hawks narrowly hold top spot after a 19-17 success against Walis Llachar last Tuesday.

Hawks were 11-9 down at half time, but fought back to claim the win, Ava Redmond performing especially well for the Holy Islanders.

Thunderbirds made it two wins out of two with a 35-23 victory over Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Entering the last, Thunderbirds were just 23-20 ahead, but they took the curtain closer 12-3 to give the final score a more convincing look. Sarah Partlett had a fine game for Blaenau.

Thunderjags celebrated their first win, edging past Pwllheli Dreigiau Dre 24-22 despite the Llyn side taking the last quarter 7-5. Casi Goodman was excellent for Pwllheli, who were 12-11 up at halfway.

Llewod Llyfni defeated Silyn Aur 17-13 to make it two victories in succession.

Lois Jones shone brightly for Llyfni, while Ani Grug Jones did likewise for Silyn Aur.
