JD CYMRU NORTH REPORTS AND TABLE – SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 13

Holywell Town 8 Gresford Athletic 4

The previous time these two met up at the Bartons North Wales Stadium they could not manage a goal between them!
Back in April, Holywell and Gresford played out a 0-0 draw, but they more than made up it for on Saturday with a 12-goal bonanza.
Town ended up 8-4 winners to make it seven straight victories which keeps them top of the JD Cymru North with a 100 percent record.
During the afternoon, the Wellmen also became the first team to score seven goals in the opening half of a game in this Tier 2 league.
The deluge began in the 14th minute when Holywell went one-up through a good strike from Fabrizio Murtas.
Craig Lindfield bagged in the 19th and then Jamie Breese’s 21st-minute effort quickly followed.
The Wellmen also hit the woodwork through Danny Sullivan in the 24th minute, before Lindfield struck again in the 28th to make it 4-0.
However, the away side did pull one back, as Mikey Davies produced a good ball towards Haci Ozlu, who tapped home to put The Colliers on the scoresheet.
Holywell were not done yet, though, as Breese and Murtas both earned themselves braces in the 35th and 43rd minute respectively, with Ilan ap Gareth haunting his former club to add a seventh before the break.
Athletic actually won the second half 3-1, but the game was already well lost within that opening 45.
Eddie Maurice-Jones’ men started the second period well, but Town were to score next as Lindfield cemented his hat-trick in the 55th minute.
Gresford continued to fight, though, and Mitchell Williams managed to notch his first goal for the club in the 75th minute.
In the 82nd, Toby Gallagher-Keenan added a third for the visitors with a fantastic strike into the bottom corner.
To finish things off, in the 90th minute, Dominic Deacon laid the ball off for Buxton, who curled it towards goal, finding the back of the net, but hitting Jake Roberts’ head in the process to add a fourth.

Airbus UK Broughton 4 Caersws 0

After a goalless first half, Airbus went on to maintain their unbeaten record by netting four times in the second stanza.
Danny Warren broke the deadlock in the 66th minute, George Peers with the assist, before Mason Blackwell-Jones soon added a second, Kaiden Cooke the supplier.
Peers made it 10 goals in eight games across all competitions by making it 3-0 in the 76th minute, Jordan Evans assisting before Oliver Lanceley added a late fourth, Kieran Evans setting him up.

Brickfield Rangers 0 Mold Alexandra 1

Owen Cordiner’s 86th minute goal from a Craig Rogers assist was enough to clinch the points for Mold.
