Bangor CC captain Robbie Marshall celebrates a fifth Premier League title success!

Five Bangor Cricket Club teams have won the North Wales ECB Premier League title and current captain Robbie Marshall has featured in all of them.

The 43-year-old wicket keeper/batsman, who has scored more than 10,000 runs and recorded over 400 dismissals since the Premier began, was in the Bangor sides crowned champions in 2001. 2002, 2017, 2019 and now 2025.

And he was there at the end on Saturday, in an unbroken partnership of 64 with Nat Scott, as the Citizens triumphed at St Asaph to scoop a fifth title.

It was a proud moment for Holywell-based Robbie, who originally hails from Anglesey and is a Wales Over-40 international.

Bangor are not only 2025 Premier League champions – they also pipped Brymbo to win the T20 tournament for top-flight clubs.

“I am absolutely delighted with the team’s achievements this season, to win both T20 and league title is outstanding.,” said the captain.

“Credit must go to the boys from pre-season. We set out our targets and through team spirit and togetherness we have achieved what we set out.

“This means so much to me and possibly more than the previous 4. To see the team perform constantly throughout the season has been a pleasure to skipper.

“The players, the club and our ever-present loyal supporters… this is for all of you.”

Rob is also a goalkeeper coach at Holywell Town, current leaders of the JD Cymru North League.

The Wellmen made it seven straight league wins today to remain in pole position. So a great day all-round for Robbie Marshall, who will now be hoping Holywell can emulate Bangor CC by ending the season as champions!
