WOMEN’S FOOTBALL SIGNINGS ANNOUNCED TODAY

Emma Roberts (to CPDM Bangor)

Emma with dad Stephen

Midfielder or defender joins Bangor after a long spell with the now disbanded Amlwch Town.
She was a key regular for Amlwch for several seasons, having previously played for Amlwch Juniors, Bangor City, Caernarfon Town and Cardiff Met.
Roberts, 25, has represented Ynys Môn at three separate Island Games competitions.
In 2017, she played every minute for Anglesey at the Games in Gotland.
Two years later, she was in the squad for the 2019 one-off Inter-Games tournament held on Ynys Môn where the home island ladies won silver.
Then in 2023, Roberts was among the Ynys Môn stars which finished fifth at the Island Games in Guernsey, producing two fantastic wins in three matches.
An outstanding passer, she is also a dead-ball specialist with an ability to score spectacular goals from free kicks.
She is helping shape the future football stars of tomorrow in her role as FAW participation officer representing North Wales coast.
Football runs in the family as Emma’s dad Stephen Richard Roberts is a former Bangor City talent of the 1980’s who now is a major player with the Wales walking football team.

Signs for Llandudno after the withdrawal of former club CPD Y Rhyl 1879 from the North Wales Women’s League.
Mills, 22, usually plays as a left-back or left-wing, but her versatility means she can operate just about anywhere.
She began playing football at the age of six with the Kinmel Bay ‘jelly tots’ team and later went on to represent Prestatyn and North Wales before signing for newly-formed senior team NFA aged 18 at the start of 2021-22.
She went on to make 52 appearances for NFA over three seasons, scoring 14 goals. Jess was top-scorer for the Rhyl-based team in 2023-24 with 11.
Mills was part of the NFA side which finished third in the North Wales Women’s League in 2021-22 and reached the NWCFA Challenge Cup final. The following season NFA won promotion to the tier 2 Genero Adran North League, where she had a fine first campaign.
Mills did not play last season until joining Rhyl 1879 in March 2025, making four appearances for the Lilywhites.
