Wednesday night football reports – 1876 held, Corwen, Cemaes Bay and Mochdre win

REPORTS FOR WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 13
LOCK STOCK ARDAL NORTH WEST

Clwb Pel Droed Bangor City 1876 2 CPD Llannefydd 2
Llannefydd proved once again they are one of Tier 3’s trickiest customers after they fought back from two-down to grab a draw at Bangor City Stadium.
It was a great fightback and result for Gwyndaf Pritchard and Ali Stubbs’ side, who are unbeaten in their first four matches,
In what proved essentially a game of two halves, 1876 all-time top scorer Corrig McGonigle made it 1-0 from the penalty spot after 12 minutes.
Chances fell at both ends after that, Liam Morris heading off the line for the hosts when Llannefydd threatened to equalise.
Morris was prominent in his more accustomed role in attack on 37 minutes when his low drive rattled the post.
In the first half added time, Bangor did find the back of the net when new signing Jack Smith fired home after Morris headed the ball into his path.
Llannefydd pushed hard after the interval, but were indebted to keeper Rhys Johnson for preventing a third home goal when he denied Morris.
That could well have been a turning point as less than 10 minutes later, the visitors were level.
Llion Morris pulled a goal back on 70 and skipper Tom Jones made it all-square from a free kick after 75,
Things got worse for Bangor in the 86th minute when Dion Donohue was shown a straight red.
City’s Iolo Hughes had a goalbound shot blocked late on and there was no further scoring.
LOCK STOCK ARDAL NORTH EAST
Corwen 2 Dolgellau AA 1
Goals from captain Pat Hinchcliffe and Harley Bennion put Corwen two goals up inside the first 20 minutes.
And that proved enough to win the game, as although Paul Lewis pulled one back for Dolgellau after 64 minutes, the home team took the points.
NORTH EAST WALES LEAGUE RESERVE DIVISION 1
Llanuwchllyn Reserves 2 Corwen Reserves 1
An Efan Lloyd Davies own goal put Corwen Reserves in front after 14 minutes, but Llanuwchllyn turned the tables before half time, Gwydion Roberts and John Evans on target,
And 2-1 is how it remained, Corwen having Oscar Mills sent off for a second yellow with 76 on the clock,
NORTH WALES COAST EAST PREMIER DIVISION
Mochdre Sports 3 Llandudno Amateurs 2

Although the Amateurs led twice at Swan Road, Mochdre bagged the points through Cian Evans 79th minute decider to go top of the Premier.
Azz Rogers edged the visitors in front in seven minutes and it was not until the 45th that Sports levelled through a Josh Grimshaw penalty.
In a highly coimpetitive second half, Kyle King struck on 71 to restore the Llandudno lead, only for Harvey Holmes to make it two-apiece two minutes later.
The game was there to be won and 19-year-old Evans obliged, notching his second goal of the campaign via a Will Edwards assist.
NORTH WALES COAST WEST PREMIER DIVISION
Cemaes Bay 3 CPD Llanberis 0
Dan Jones (2) and Tom Wood shared the goals as Cemaes Bay put their first win column entry of the season into the book.
Jones scored on 29 and 73 minutes, Sam Hall and Ryan Folksman with the assists, while Asa Thomas supplied the chance for Wood to make it 2-0 on 38.
