Bangor are the 2025 North Wales League T20 champions.
An eighth win in nine games for Rob Marshall’s side and a dramatic collapse from a seemingly title-bound Brymbo meant the Citizens went one place better than last year and finished top of the table.
Last season’s champions Brymbo had to be content with fourth position
Jason Underwood hit a stunning 71 not out for a Brymbo side which triumphed by four wickets.
Northop won the toss, elected to bat, and posted a decent total of 144-6 off 20 overs, Matthew Williams a fine 62 not out off 43 balls, Richard Deniz 2-20, Joe Norman 2-26 and Dan Parry 2-28 for the Steelmen.
Brymbo made it to 145-6 off 18.5, Underwood totally dominating with his 44-ball effort which included seven sixes.
Venumadhav Peram took 2-21 and Matthew Mullarkey 2-31 for the Flintshire outfit.
Oliver Da Costa struck a cracking 54 – five sixes – but his team Conwy could only manage 82 all out, Andrew Swarbrick bagging 4-19, Adam Campion 3-15 and Marcus Mangiameli 2-32 for Mochdre.
The visitors eased to 85-1 off 12.2, Will Evans 36 not out and Sam Davies 33.
Skipper Harrison Jones blasted an impressive 81 not out as Denbigh eased to a nine-wicket victory.
Winning the toss and batting, Bethesda set 151-4, Daniel Oshyer 56 and Ben Parker 53, Andy Clarke 2-22 for the hosts, who repled with 154-1 off 14.5, Jones slamming six fours and five sixes in his 46-ball knock, Sam Lewis adding 63 no from 42.
Nathaniel Scott and skipper Robbie Marshall both struck 56 not out and Franco Kasner added 32 as Bangor posted a mighty 175-2 off 20, and in response Saints could only muster 139-7, Kyle Williams 51 and Will Ryan 41, Daniel Flynn 3-18 and Joe Maltby 2-22 for the Citizens.
Bangor won by 36 runs
A well deserved first league win for Conwy.
Gwersyllt Park chalked up 145-9, Jack Billington 43, Tom Plank 3-19, Patrick Jelley 2-21 and Oliver Da Costa 2-23 for the hosts, who hit back with 147-4, Vaughan Williams 40, Lalmon TV 38 not out and Evan Williams 33.
Victory for Bridge was secured with two balls to spare.
Northop made 160-3, Jamie Northcott 65, Matthew Williams 37 no and Venumadhav Peram 34, the islanders replying with 161-5 off 19.4, Robbie Jones 42 no, Dion Holden 40, Gethin Roberts 32, Romano Franco 3-25 and Bart Ryan-Beswick 2-20 for the losing side.
Bangor completed the away double which resulted in them being crowned T20 champions at the end of the day’s action.
Denbigh were limited to 111-5, Harrison Jones 39, Aayushman Gosmani 2-10 and the Citizens cruised to 112-1 off 16.1, Nathaniel Scott 53 no and Franco Kasner 29 no.
Jack Griffiths’ tremendous spell of 3-9 helped St Asaph to a crushing eight-wicket victory over their visitors.
Richie Parry top-scored with 28 as Pesda were dismissed for just 90, Robbie Prior with 2-13 providing good back-up for Griffiths.
Saints eased to 94-1 off 13.2, Kyle Williams 32, Will Ryan 28 no and Matty Ryan 25 no.
Chasing a revised 143 off 16 overs for victory, Brymbo looked to be coasting at 124-5, but then a dramatic late collapse cost the Steelmen the game – and the title.
Bridge set 156-6 off 19, Ayush Verma 47, Robbie Jones 44 and Dion Holden 41, Richard Deniz 3-27 for the hosts, who then plummeted to 136 all out, Jason Underwood 74, Ashley Wood 3-22, Liam Bibby 2-8, Gerallt Roberts 2-19 and Patrick Glover 2-31 for Menai, who did neighbours Bangor a massive favour in toppling their title rivals.
