Ynys Môn men will take part in their SEVENTH Island Games football final on Friday.
Anglesey first won the competition in 1999, when a Steve Humphreys goal secured a 1-0 triumph over Isle of Man in Gotland.
Twenty years later, Môn hosted the one-off Inter-Games tournament due to Island Games hosts Gibraltar not having enough pitches to stage a football competition.
They reached a second final, beating Guernsey 2-1 thanks to a Mel McGinness dramatic late winner.
Ynys Môn’ footballers were runners-up in the first Island Games on the Faroe Islands in 1989, but there was no final as the competition was played on a round-robin group basis.
