98 clubs and 49 ties make up the northern section draw for the first qualifying round of the 2025-26 FAW Amateur Trophy.

Teams from tiers 3, 4 and 5 will compete in the opening stages, which takes place on the weekend of August 1 to 3.

One of the standout ties is the David v Goliath match-up of tier 5 Blue Bridge and CPD Dinas Bangor City 1876 of tier 3.

Rhyl-based Bridge are a new club in just their second season of competing in the North Wales Coast East League, while 1876 were in the JD Cymru North last term, but for 2025-26 have dropped into the Ardal North West, for which they are favourite to win the title.

Elsewhere, there’s a cracking local derby in store when Glan Conwy host near neighbours Llandudno Junction, two past Trophy winners clash in the Llanrug United v Conwy Borough Swifts tie and tier 3 Porthmadog face a tricky test when strong tier 4 outfit Nefyn United visit Y Traeth.
