Plenty of exciting goings on at Colwyn Bay FC

Colwyn Bay’s ground has been newly-named Blue Turtle Arena

Plenty of activity going on at Colwyn Bay Football Club over the close season – on and off the pitch.

Mike Wilde –the JD Cymru North Manager of the Season – has been busy adding to his squad with key signings as they prepare for their return to the JD Cymru Premier.

Aaron Williams, Aeron Edwards, Nathan Peate, Matty Hill, Aron Williams and George Hughes are among the new faces to join the 2024-25 JD Cymru North cha,mpions.

The club has also retained the following players from last season’s successful squad: Jay Owen, Ethan Roberts, Josh Carey, Rhys Nash, Jamie Cumming, Lewis Sirrell, Dan Adkins, Sam Hart, Rhys Williams, Sol Forde.

Off the field, the newly named Blue Turtle Arena is a hive of activity with work taking place ahead of the new season.

And there has been significant developments in the boardroom too, with Jody and Carly Johnson becoming major shareholders of the Club.

The couple, founders of the Blue Turtle Group, have bought out Dave and Brian Titchiner’s shares.

Jody and Carly Johnson have become heavily involved with the JD Cymru Premier bound club in recent months.

Both are directors of the club and the Llanelian Road ground in Old Colwyn is now know as The Blue Turtle Arena.

“I’m proud to announce that we have officially become the major shareholders of Colwyn Bay Football Club,” Carly Johnson said.

“This club has a rich history, a passionate fan base, and untapped potential and we are honoured to be part of its future.

“Football is more than a game, it’s about community, ambition, and legacy.

“Our vision is to build on the club’s proud traditions while driving it forward with investment, innovation, and integrity.

“This is a long term commitment, and we’re here to grow together.

“To the fans, Your loyalty is the heartbeat of this club. We will work hard every day to earn your trust and deliver the success you deserve. Let’s get to work!”

Dave and Brian Titchiner have been involved with the club for many years with 4 Crosses Construction sponsoring the Seagulls.

“The club wishes to thank Dave and Brian for all they have done over many years and they have ensured a brilliant legacy for the club,” a statement said.
