North Wales Hotshots 2024-25: Meilir Williams crowned the goal king!

Meilir Williams of CPD Llanuwchllyn is the North Wales senior football Golden Boot winner for 2024-25.

Jayden Evans of Broughton United was second with 45 and Mike Jones of Prestatyn Sports took third spot on 38.

Six hat-tricks and 49 goals in all competitions – Llanuwchllyn’s Meilir Williams is a worthy North Wales Golden Boot winner for 2024-25.
Meilir’s 38 league goals made him the Ardal North East top marksman by some distance.
He was the most prolific scorer in the top three tiers affecting North Wales senior football, and he made the Ardal North East Team of the Season.
His 49 goals for 2024-25 betters his tally of 45 for Llanuwchllyn achieved in 2023-24.
Meilir has netted 94 goals in 81 appearances for Sion Tudor’s side.

Jayden Evans (Broughton United) 45

With 45 goals in 28 appearances, this 18-year-old hot prospect has been nothing short of sensational.
He was one of the chief reasons why Broughton United were crowned North East Wales Championship Division title-winners in their debut season.
Also netted a hatful of goals in youth football.

Mike Jones (Prestatyn Sports) 38
(league 36, cup 2)

Veteran net-finder Mike (Smurf) was North Wales Coast East Division One top-scorer for 2024-25.
Outstanding season for this 37-year-old in front of goal for Prestatyn Sports..

Harry Massey (Lex XI) 37
(25 league, 12 cups)

Top goalscorer in the tier 4 North East Wales Premier Division and a true star for his club Lex XI.
Also hepled the Lawmen finish runners-up in their Reserve Division Group B table with a late season hat-trick.

Daniel Williams (Penmaenmawr Phoenix) 36
(league 24 cup 12)

Joint-second top scorer in the North Wales Coast East Premier with 24 goals and 12 more in the cups made for a fantastic grand total of 36.
Another star name in Pen’s treble-winning season which delivered the league title, Cookson Cup and NWCFA Intermediate Cup.

Andy Vale (Brickfield Rangers) 35
(22 league, 13 cup)

His 22 goals played a huge part in Brickfield Rangers win the biggest prize in their history – the Tier 3 Ardal North East League title.
Also netted 13 times in cups for the Wrexham side – an outstanding campaign from the 25-year-old.

Adam Hold (Penmaenmawr Phoenix) 34
(23 league, 11 cups)

What an amazing debut season this man had in Penmaenmawr’s treble-winning heroics.
Scored 23 league goals as Phoenix scooped the North Wales Coast East Premier Division title and lifted the Cookson Cup and NWCFA Intermediate Cup.

Jacob Jones (Kinmel Bay/Kinmel Bay Development) 34
(league 32, cup 2)

Magical young talent with most goals and assists in the NWCFA Development League.
Jacob also knocked in a few for Kinmel Bay’s first team, giving him a tremendous overall total of 34.

Robert Reynolds (Gresford Athletic Reserves) 34
(34 league)

Magnificent consistency from Rob, who has scored in almost every match he played for the Colliers.
Netted 34 times in 21 league outings.

Connor L Morris (Kinmel Bay 33
(league 23, cups 10)

Missed spells of the season with injury but has still managed a magnificent 33 goals for the North Wales Coast East Premier runners-up.
Getting ever closer to 100 goals for the club since joining Bay in July 2022.

Tomos Watkin-Jones (CPD Cerrigydrudion) 33
(27 league, 6 cups)

Finished top-scorer in the North Wales Coast East Premier with 27 goals.
Had he not missed Cerrig’s last six games through injury, his final total of 33 in all competitions could have been considerably higher.

Connor Owen (Gwalchmai) 33
(league 23, cups 10)

Another amazing season for this 20-year-old dazzlier who passed 100 goals for the club in 2024-25 and has now bagged 113 in total for Gwalch from 130 appearances.
Notched hat-tricks in two of his last three games and pocketed five trebles over the campaign.

Luke McGivern (Cemaes Bay) 33
(league 28, cups 5)

Luke McGivern

Finished joint top-scorer in the North Wales Coast West Premier with 28 goals.
Hit five hat-tricks over the season and a superb 33 goals in all competitions.

Cian Pritchard (Penrhyndeudraeth) 33
(league 26, cups 7)

This 19-year-old wizard finished third top scorer in the North Wales Coast West Premier.
His goal feats included six in one game.

Lewis James (CPD Yr Wyddgrug) 32
(31 league, 1 cup)

Lost goals due to Deeside United’s very late withdrawal from the North East Wales Championship and their results being expunged, but still this great goal-bagger notched above the 30-mark.

Dylan Proctor (CPD Y Rhyl 1879) 31

His goals made a huge difference in Rhyl 1879 being crowned 2024-25 Ardal North West champions.
It is not just the volume of goals he scored, but also the quality. Proctor is already established as a Lilywhites great.
Was included in Ardal North West Team of the Season and also landed league top scorer prize.

Arden Gisbourne (CPD Llannerchymedd) 30
(league 28, cup 2)

Rob Williams of RPO Williams civil engineering (who also owns the Bull in Llannerchymedd) presenting Arden with the Aled Owen Memorial Shield for top scorer

Tremendous season for a 20-year-old who ended up joint leading marksman in the North Wales Coast West Premier alongside Luke McGivern of Cemaes Bay.
His consistency in front of goal was remarkable.

Jake Carey (Llandudno Swifts) 30

Great season for Carey and Swifts – the club’s first in the North Wales Coast East League.
The skipper piled up 30 goals in 25 appearances in a campaign where Swifts finished runners-up in Division One
