Phoenix stretched their unbeaten run to 18 matches and in the process set up a Cookson Cup Final meeting with Kinmel Bay after winning a hard-fought semi at Cerrig on Saturday.
Adam Hold’s 25th goal in all competitions this season was enough to give Pen a half-time lead.
Hold turned provider seven minutes into the second half for Daniel Williams to put away his 29th goal of 2024-25.
Hedd Williams pulled one back for Cerrig on 63 minutes, but it was Phoenix who advanced to their second final of the season.
Captain fantastic Charlie Jones rescued a point for Kinmel Bay with the last kick of the game.
Deep into stoppage time, Bay trailed 2-1 to the leaders, but Jones bent home a beauty for his second goal of the afternoon and the mother of all point-savers.
Steven Kirk put Y Glannau in front with a 19th minute penalty before Jones levelled for the visitors with 26 gone, Sean Sheridan with the assist.
Dan Price made it 2-1 to the table-toppers early in the second half and it looked like that would be enough to clinch the game.
The match was in its 96th minute when Bay’s Ollie Gray was red-carded.
Still, the 10 men refused to give in and Charlie Jones emerged a true hero with that late leveller
After eight successive defeats Bow finally picked up a welcome point which lifted them off the foot of the Premier.
Having won 4-3 at Meliden earlier this season, the Prestatyn side took to the field at Bastion Gardens in a positive frame of mind.
Bow midfielder Barry Roche said after the game: “With other results going our way it’s a massive point to say the least.
“Bow have been working hard with limited numbers but the lads have been fighting and fighting is what they did untill the very last minute to see out a 0-0 draw.
“Meliden were a threat from the get go and created plenty of chances but our defence stayed solid and some top tier saves from our keeper Cain Folly kept us in the game.”
Harley Wood was impressive for the hosts and rivalled Folly for the man of the match award.
In the second half Meliden came pressing again but Bow would not fall, Folly making some brilliant saves.
In the final minute Roche lifted a great free kick into the box and Wood narrowly missed out on grabbing the goal which would have nicked a win.
Roche added: “Bow can only build on this and work on things in training. Hopefully things are on the up. Also wishing Luca Querci a speedy recovery after he suffered a nasty injury at the end of play,”
Will Edwards and John Gardner grabbed the goals which secured Mochdre maximum points in Saturday’s derby, Dion Lloyd responding for the home side.
Captain Jay Sutton (2), Kyle Johnson, James Cory, evergreen Lee Thomas and Ben Wheeler split the six goals which brought victory for the Amateurs, Martin Halewood and Harrylee Birchall with consolations for Rhuddlan.
Heartbreak for Llandyrnog as they lost out to an added time winner from Bro’s Caron Davies.
Ianto Roberts edged the visitors ahead on 52, but Callum Lloyd levelled after 85, a goal which nearly bagged Dyrny a point.
Luke Appleby (2) and Ben Allis secured a fine result on the road for Llansannan.
Kyle Lally’s 87th minute strike earned a point for Albion at Y Morfa.
Matty Pleavin’s 29th minute net-finder handed the visitors a half time lead, then Thomas Bamber made it 2-0, but Switfs rallied, three goals in five minutes from Oliver Carey, Alex McGoona and Jacob Guy edging the hosts in front.
Albion kept battling, however, and Lally’s late show grabbed them a draw.
Unbeaten Rhos edged to within a win of the Division One title after emerging 3-0 victors at Llysfaen on Saturday.
A pair of goals two minutes apart from Mike Chapman and Phemmy Allison in the first half set up the leaders for another win.
And Allison made it 3-0 in the 46th minute, Lewis Sealey with the assist. Allison and Bret Durkin also provided assists in Rhos’ 18th win in 20 league matches.
Another clean sheet for Richard Hillier-Evans made it 14 blanks in 20 games for him – including seven in a row.
Alex Hall and Kris Owen both bagged hat-tricks for Sports, Mike Jones, Toby Jones and Ashley Barrett also on the mark, while the hosts also benefited from own goals by Damien Butler and Jacob Benjamin.
Pete Jones (3), Gabriel George (2), Stan Farrell, Malachi Richards and Hari Bartlett combined to earn Bay a big win on their travels.
