PREMIER DIVISION

Paul Brady joined Kinmel Bay from Prestatyn Sports this week.
A former Bay player, he can operate in the midfield and now links back up with his brother Ciaran at Y Morfa.

Last Saturday saw Bay edge a 2-1 verdict at Bro Cernyw.
Star of the show was teenage sensation Jacob Jones, who scored both goals for the visitors, Rhidian Williams having handed Bro an early lead.

CPD Cerrigydrudion 1 Llandudno Junction 1

Junction are without a doubt the recent draw kings of the Premier.
The Railwaymen have shared the points in four of their last seven games, but are also undefeated over that period.
It was almost maximum spoils for Junction last Saturday after David Maddock gave them a 21st minute lead they held until deep into added time after the 90, when Iorwerth Jones levelled.
The visitors had Joe Roberts dismissed on 58 minutes for two yellow cards.

CPD Y Glannau 6 Glan Conwy 1

Leaders Y Glannau made it no losses in eight as they put six past Glan Conwy.
David McHugh (2), captain Joey Fontana, Ste Kirk, Josh MacGillivray and Thomas Jones shared the home goals, sub Harrison McQueen replying.

Llandudno Amateurs 1 Llanfairfechan Town 3

Elliot Croston (2) and Cyril Carey (penalty) bagged the goals for winners Llanfairfechan, Chris Smyth hitting back for the Amateurs in the 95th minute.

Llandyrnog United 0 Meliden 0

Fantastic point for bottom side Llandyrnog.
The hosts battled hard for 90 minutes, and thoroughly deserved a share of the spoils. To a man, they were all fantastic.
MOTM was Alfie McKay, who was magnificent in goal.
Llandyrnog manager Stephen Jones said: “The lads battled every minute today. It was a fantastic performance and we created some great chances, but the 3 points weren’t to be. We played for each other and I’m proud of their efforts today against a tough Meliden side.”

Mochdre Sports 7 Bow 1

Mochdre’s man of the match in a thumping 7-1 win over Bow was right winger Kieran Smith.
Finishing the game with 2 goals and 2 assists, Smith has made the step up to senior football with no issue this season, and has a fantastic 14 goals and 19 assists so far between the first team and development team games.
Other scorers for Sports were: Josh Grimshaw, Scott Roberts, Harry Owen and new signing from Conwy Borough, Will Edwards, who marked his debut with 2 goals and an assist.
Barry Roche notched a consolation for Bow.

Penmaenmawr Phoenix 6 CPD Llansannan 2

A frantic start to Saturday’s game saw four goals in the opening 19 minutes – two for each side.
Jamie Jones and Adam Hold (pen) struck for Phoenix, Gruffudd Roberts and Brychan Edwards for positive visitors Llansannan.
Both teams battled it out until the break from then with Llan causing some real problems for the home team and dominating in key areas.
The home team started the second half on the front foot, showing their fitness and beginning to control the play. Llansannan continued to look dangerous throughout but a James Hobson double, plus Hold and Ethan Jones goals sealed a hard earned three points for the Phoenix.

DIVISION ONE

Penrhyn Bay 0 Rhyl Albion 0

Scoreless between the clubs placed sixth and fourth in the table.

Prestatyn Wanderers 4 CPD Henllan 3

Great result for Wanderers, Alfie Posser with a late winner, plus goals from Nathan Rowan, Adam Cassidy and player-manager Steve Taylor (penalty) clinching the points.
Harry Payne (2) and Lewis Roberts responded, making sure Henllan went close to grabbing a point.

Rhos United 3 Prestatyn Sports 0

As reported elsewhere on Grassroots North Wales, Rhos triumphed in this top of the table clash to remain unbeaten in 19 matches with a 12-point lead at the summit.
Lewis Sealey struck twice for the hosts while goalkeeper Richard Hillier-Evans, outstanding between the sticks, rounded off a perfect performance by scoring from his own penalty area with a mighty kick out of his hands.
